For long time I couldnt understand what is Gestalt.. this word seemed magestic and difficult for understanding… until I got an example from real life.. My neighbor woman told me once that when she was a child she had a traumatic experience, a fire burned the house and a dog, tied to it. She in her old age still couldnt forget the sufferings of the animal. This is an open gestalt.

To close it I offered the practice from NLP I learned from Andrey Mikhailovich Barakin. I offered her to dig in this traumatic experience and change the end – to imagine that she (girl) has lots of water and to overflow her dog with this water…somehow this method helps… people start to feel better.. the gestalt clothes and deficit becomes fullfilled.

I also understand such gestalts \ deficites as a problem that cant be settled cos the person is dead for instance or doesnt want to connect with you… in this case a technique of psychodrama or family constellations step in, when you can insult\ask to forgive the real man who plays the role of the dead one you need.. you can even go to the cemetery to say it by the grave.

From Barakin course on psychological aspects of overweight I remember one woman who told her story also started in childhood. She lived in a poor family who couldnt afford desserts for children more than cheapest sugar candies. And this girl once went to the house of her friend and has stolen from it some money. The summ was enough to buy a big cake with cream and all that stuff. They (she and her sister) bought this cake went out of shop and eat this cake with bare hands straight on the grass. And her parents found out this and idk if she was punished or not… but this deficit aka gestalt was not closed… Andrey Barakin told her to change this situation from the past in her head now.. to give this little girl all the cakes in the world and money and gold… anything that can close fullfill the void.

I worked with sui deviations of one girl and her subconscious brought to light the image of her uncle who commited suicide. We considered the life as a flow of water that goes from parents to children and so on… she got the image in her head that her uncle was asking for water, he was thirsty, he wanted to drink… basing on this NLP method i asked her to give him all the water in the world… and she felt better.

Well.. idk maybe its too much and I bring the term Deficite from business and i cant use it for gestalt… but the term “to close a deficit” is now equal to me same as “close a gestalt”.

P.S. Actually I found this term not in business but in literature for loosing weight. The book (Olga Goloschapova Goodbye, diet) was very good. It told the real truth of dieting, she wrote there that no diets are efficient and only letting yourself go and eating intuitively can solve the matter of overweight. You can eat everything you want.. if you want sweet – eat sweet, lard – eat lard..bread – eat bread.. the aim is to close your body deficits… and this is true when you let yourself eat all you want very soon you will loose interest to sweet, lard and bread and will eat it in small amounts just enough to make you feel ok.
